Rules the Mind follows: 7th rule

7th Rule: An emotionally induced symptom tends to cause organic change if persisted long enough.
It has been acknowledged by many reputable medical men and women that more than seventy percent of human ailments are functional rather than organic. This means the function, of an organ or other part of the body has been disrupted by a reaction of the nervous system to negative ideas held in the subconscious mind. cause the nervous system are linked to the organs, glands and other part of the body. After all, we are a mind in a body and the two cannot be separated. Therefore, if you continue to fear ill health, constantly talk about your “nervous stomach” or “tension headaches,” and have mental image or feeling of such event happening, then in time to come, the mind will eventually make the shift and command the organic changes to occur.

Rules the Mind follows: 6th rule

6th Rule: When dealing with the subconscious mind and its functions, the greater the conscious effort, the lesser the subconscious response.
I’m sure you have had insomnia at least once in you life, and at that time, did you recall how you get to sleep? use your “Will power”? Try very hard to get to sleep? I bit not, cause the harder you try the more difficult it becomes. The harder you try to go to sleep, the more wide awake you become.
This proves why “will power” does not really exist! you’ve learned the law of reverse effect. The rule is, “When dealing with the subconscious mind, TAKE IT EASY.” As your faith in your subconscious mind increases, you learn to “let it happen” rather than trying to “force it to happen.” Some people want to relax so badly that they try to help it happen. This keeps the conscious mind active and hence moving toward the different direction of relaxation. and relaxation becomes impossible. The understanding and implementing of these mental laws will make you get into a hypnotic trance easier. and,
Do you realised why some time you are working on some tough problem that you can’t solve for days and the solution just happened after a good rest? that is the power of our subconscious, do not underestimate your subconscious mind for it has more resource and experience than you can imagine comparing to your conscious mind.

Rules the Mind follows: 5th rule

5th Rule: Imagination is more powerful than knowledge when dealing with your own mind or the mind of another.
This is an important rule to remember, especially when using self-hypnosis or self affirmation. REASON IS EASILY OVERRULED BY IMAGINATION. why? because reasoning is part of the conscious function, is a logical deduction, no emotion involved, whereas Imagination although is initiated by your conscious, it will arouse some feeling, some emotion, whether you feel good or bad imagining something, you’ll most likely take action toward or against how you feel. This is why some persons blindly rush into some unreasonable act or situation. Violent crimes based on jealously are almost always caused by a overactive imagination. In a lot of cases of mis-understanding, they are almost always caused by someone letting their imagination running wild. Any idea accompanied by a strong emotion such as anger, hatred, love, or our political or religious beliefs usually cannot be modified through the use of reason. Why? you may ask again! this is because our subconscious mind which control the emotion is more powerful and resourceful than our conscious mind, that is why!
In using self hypnosis we can form images in the subconscious mind, which is the feeling level mind, and hence have much better chance in removing, altering or amend old ideas.

Stay tune for more rules, 2 more as a matter of fact.

Old habit die hard? Not any more!

Everybody realized children can acquired a new behavior pretty quickly, as long as they think it make sense to them, they can adopt it so easily and do it so readily.

how nice if we adult did not loose this ability over the years of growing up!Why the same does not apply to adults, you might ask? this is because we adult have been filled full in-term of our belief and habit compare to children whom their brain is sill develop and still have a lot of capacity to hold many more things.

As adult, once we get used to doing thing a certain way, we’ll stick to doing it that way, this is due to the fact that our sub-conscious are quite ‘lazy’ they will control us in a way that we use least effort to perform a task, if we can walk, we’ll not run, if we can stand, we’ll not walk, and if we can sit, we’ll not stand …….  for eg, if smoking a stick of cigarette make you feel good, you’ll not go for a 5 km run to make you feel good (some really think they feel good after a run). not that smoking is good for your health.

So, if a habit of yours formed, it most likely was being interpreted as the most efficient way of doing certain thing.  In-order to remove a so-called ‘bad habit’, solely depending on ‘will power’ which is controlled by our conscious mind might not get good result.  Ever heard of a joke “quit smoking is easy, I’ve done that many time!”.  This is why for some, they can ‘quit’ smoking for so many times and still get the habit back.  For others who go on a diet , loose some weight and the weight yoyo back on.  That is because they did not replace the ‘bad habit’ with an alternative behavior, hence, to effectively replace a ‘bad habit’, there are 2 things you need to do:

  1. to think of something to do, or another alternative way of doing it (the ‘bad habit’) that will achieve the same effect you want to achieve. do it so many time that your subconscious ‘think’ that is the only way to do it.

  2. Visualizing in your mind that you are doing the ‘new habit’ and feel really good about doing it, the mind can’t differential what’s real and what is imagined, so performing step 2 more will ‘fool’ your mind in thinking it really feels good and want to do it that way.

Hopefully, with this information, you can have better success in making yourself better! mentality, physically and emotionally!

Rules the Mind follows: 4th rule

4th Rule: What the mind expects to happen tends to be realized.
The brain and nervous system respond only to mental images. It does not matter if the image is self-induced or from the external world. The mental image formed becomes the blueprint, and the subconscious mind uses every means at it’s disposal to carry out the plan. Worry is a form of programming a picture of what we don’t want, but the subconscious mind acts to fulfill the pictures situation. “THE THINGS THAT I HAVE FEARED HAVE COME UPON ME. Many persons suffer from chronic anxiety, which is simply a subconscious mental expectancy that something terrible will happen to them. On the other hand, we all know people who seem to have the “Magic Touch.” What they have is NOT a positive mental attitude but a POSITIVE MENTAL EXPECTANCY! Another way of stating it is WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT! Our physical health is largely dependent upon our mental expectancy. Physicians recognize that if a patient expects to remain sick or even die, the expected condition tends to be realized. Here is where self-hypnosis can become the tool to remove despondence and negative attitudes and bring about a positive mental expectancy.

Rules the Mind follows: 3rd rule

3rd Rule: Each suggestion acted upon by the mind creates less opposition to successive suggestion.
A mental habit is easier to follow the longer it lasts unbroken. Once a habit is formed it becomes easier to follow and more difficult to break. imagine how you brush your teeth, after so many years doing that, you can do it so well that you don’t even need to think about it at all. In other words, once a suggestion has been accepted by your subconscious mind either through hypnosis or by self-Hypnosis, it becomes easier for additional suggestions to be accepted and acted upon. This is why, when you are just beginning with self-hypnosis, it is better to start with simple suggestions. When these have been followed you can move on to more complicated suggestions. this phenomenon observed is inline with the common knowledge and advice of starting a task in its simplest form and increase complexity as you gain confidence.
